Your voice is all around me
Whispering in my ear
Sometimes sounding closer
Than those that are still here.
Remember all the things we did
All the fun we shared,
We laughed and cried and talked for hours
And said how much we cared.
But then one day you were gone
And left me with my tears
My world was tilted on it's side
Packed with deepest fears.
When I needed you the most
And things got so, so tough
I screamed out loud and felt so lost
Then life got REALLY rough.
I knew you had the answers
That no one else could give
And wondered in my deep despair
Why God couldn't let you live
Just a little longer
You really were too young
To leave this world behind you
So many songs unsung.
But time kept moving on,
And taking me with it.
My hurts began to lesson
Just a little bit.
My memories got clearer
And realization stung
In only thinking of myself
How selfish I'd become.
You were suffering so greatly
In sickness and in pain
There was nothing else that could be done,
Nothing else to gain.
Your life had become unbearable,
You desperately needed rest.
God brought you home to give you peace,
He really knows what's best.
I'm older now and wiser (I hope)
And realize while I live
Jesus gives the answers
That only He can give.
Your voice still whispers to me
Of the happiness you've found
And to enjoy my loved ones
Every precious second I'm around.

Beautiful and moving. Cried reading this....and realized how true the ending was and how much that helped me. Cathy V is definitely a vessel of the Holy Spirit, speaking God's voice for the rest of ask to listen, hear and learn.
